We'll gather Friday night at Mirror Lake State Park, the tranquil site for sunrise yoga and quiet meditative hikes, for an evening of introductions and a campfire. Check-in anytime after 7PM. On Saturday, we'll head over to Devil's Lake and hike up the bluff for a day of climbing. Back at camp we'll close the day with an evening restorative yoga class, Makko-Ho stretching, and a communal meal cooked over the fire. Sunday will include yoga on the beach, hiking, slacklining, and Makko-Ho. We'll end at 3PM.
No previous experience needed...
No matter your level of comfort with camping, yoga, climbing, or the outdoors, expect a supportive atmosphere to embrace new challenges throughout the weekend. We'll take care of the details and show you the ropes (pun intended). Yes, this is an outdoor workshop; you will camp in tents, cook over the fire, and immerse yourself in nature as you practice two complementary disciplines: yoga and climbing. Our gourmet outdoor cooking includes local and organic ingredients whenever possible, and we can fully outfit all your clothing and gear if needed.
The Yoga and Climbing 1-Day Workshop offers an exciting retreat amongst the towering bluffs of Devil's Lake State Park that integrates yoga and rock climbing in the great outdoors. Join us for a day of yoga on the beach, climbing on the quartzite bluffs, and hiking along the Ice Age Trail. We'll take care of all the details, including climbing equipment, meals, and professional instruction.

About Our Yoga Instructors...
Tomoko Morganeli (Horikawa)
Tomoko Morganelli teaches Anusara-inspired Yoga throughout the Chicago area and in Japan. She is also a practitioner of Shiatsu bodywork as well as a certified instructor of Makko Ho, an esoteric Japanese stretching art. Tomoko’s personal philosophy is to face forward – Makko – and face the unknown with courage, honesty, and “positivity”.
Tina Ward
Tina Ward's yoga journey began 15 years ago while living abroad and searching for alternative methods for coping with life-long, chronic asthma, and related symptoms. After dedicating herself to a regular practice and combining it with zazen meditation, Tibetan medicine, acupuncture, and various types of massage therapy, she eventually found her way to a more balanced and healthful way of life. She has practiced and taught a variety of styles of yoga, including Astanga, Hatha, Bikram/Hot, Anusara, Vinyasa, and Iyengar. The intensity of each class she teaches depends on the group dynamic and individual requests, and may have students from beginner’s level to advanced in the same practice. "It has been an exciting and educational path along which I have been blessed to meet many truly wonderful people from all over the world. I am grateful for my continued opportunities and personal growth, and hope to share my experience and knowledge with my students in order to help them find comfort and strength as they heal and grow." - Tina
